"The Miami University Police Department K-9 unit is honored to have been selected by the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation as a 2014 grant recipient. The continued success of our K-9 unit and other regional K-9 teams that train with our K-9 unit will be strongly supported by this generous gift." -- Patrol Officer Keith Hibbard, Miami University Police Department.
"The grant that was awarded to the Miami University Police Department K-9 unit will allow for continued effective joint training, leading to seamless operations between K-9 teams. This forward thinking allows for a greater preparation in real world instances when we’re needed." -- Deputy U.S. Marshal Aaron Fisher, Department of Justice.

Sprint "Power to Play" min-camp1728 viewsDavid Burke of David Burke Photographers (http//www.davidburkephoto.com) was kind enough to send me the photo of his handsome son Damon posing with Ben this weekend at the mini-camp event. According to David:
"Saturday, my son Damon, had the awesome opportunity to hang out with Ben Roethlisberger for a mini-camp. Damon told me that Ben threw 3 passes to him, but he dropped the first two. He said that on the third pass, Ben said, 'Go Deep Damon, Keep Going Damon!' So Damon ended up catching a 55 yard pass from Ben Roethlisberger! How cool is that catching a bomber from the Super Bowl XL Champion Quarterback? Once in a lifetime opportunity!
He told me that it hurt like crazy, when he caught it! Damon's uncle Nathan, was gracious enough to invite him to the mini camp."
