Look at the smile!465 viewsThank you so much for posting my Grandson's pictures. His name is Christian Melnik, 8 years old, from Butler, PA.
Christian goes to 2nd grade at Center Township Elementary school in Butler, PA.
2013 was our third year going to training camp. We always try to make it to the night practice at Latrobe Stadium and have never even got close to getting Ben's autograph. But last summer, with the last open practice moved to St. Vincent, it gave us a better opportunity. We had just arrived at the field, and were sitting along the fence line when I saw Ben headed our way. I encouraged Christian to squeeze his way along the fence and hold his ground and just hold up the football as high as he could. There was a lot of pushing by the bigger kids, but Christian scored an autograph from his favorite player, #7. He clutched that ball all day, it now sits on our mantel above the fireplace.
I keep promising Christian we will make it to a football game at Heinz Field someday before he gets too much older, I'm not exactly getting any younger either. Hopefully, it'll be one of those lifelong memories between Grandfather and Grandson that we will never forget. -- Tom Melnik

November 11, 2022: #7 & #99 are both ‘Hunters Sharing the Harvest’114 viewsFrom the Hunters Sharing the Harvest organization’s Facebook page:
“Yesterday we kicked off what promises to be another outstanding season of venison donations across the Commonwealth.
We were joined at Collier Sportsmen’s Association by many of our volunteers, partners and supporters, including very special guests, two-time Super Bowl champs and retired Pittsburgh Steelers, Ben Roethlisberger – BigBen7.com and Brett Keisel, who spoke about their own donations of deer to our program and what the HSH mission means to them.
HSH executive director Randy Ferguson, retired executive director John Plowman and HSH board members were joined by key agency partners Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and the Pennsylvania Game Commission, as well as Hunger-Free Pennsylvania representing the Commonwealth’s food distribution network.
As the firearms deer season approaches, make sure you fill all those additional tags and please consider sharing your extra deer with Pennsylvania’s food-insecure this season!â€

I may have a question here or there, pre-snap communication or something like that, how to handle our veteran O-line…just when you spend more time with somebody you’re going to get closer to them and we have a great relationship now.†— Mason Rudolph during his ESPN Monday Night Football interview when asked how his relationship with Ben is “right nowâ€.
