Look at the smile!486 viewsThank you so much for posting my Grandson's pictures. His name is Christian Melnik, 8 years old, from Butler, PA.
Christian goes to 2nd grade at Center Township Elementary school in Butler, PA.
2013 was our third year going to training camp. We always try to make it to the night practice at Latrobe Stadium and have never even got close to getting Ben's autograph. But last summer, with the last open practice moved to St. Vincent, it gave us a better opportunity. We had just arrived at the field, and were sitting along the fence line when I saw Ben headed our way. I encouraged Christian to squeeze his way along the fence and hold his ground and just hold up the football as high as he could. There was a lot of pushing by the bigger kids, but Christian scored an autograph from his favorite player, #7. He clutched that ball all day, it now sits on our mantel above the fireplace.
I keep promising Christian we will make it to a football game at Heinz Field someday before he gets too much older, I'm not exactly getting any younger either. Hopefully, it'll be one of those lifelong memories between Grandfather and Grandson that we will never forget. -- Tom Melnik

Training Camp, August 3, 20072243 viewsBrianna, who attended training camp from Youngstown, Ohio, took these photos: "I had the really high zoom on for some of the pix, but I just HAD to get close to him when he was signing during the storm. That was really nice of him and made me like him even more! I also was relieved that the weather broke and they practiced outside."
*Thank you Brianna!
Note: I was in attendance at TC this same day. Ben came out during a thunderstorm to sign footballs, wet jerseys and soggy magazines for roughly 20 minutes.

November, 2014: Fan Photos492 viewsCheck out the beautiful quilt that Robert Wade made for his grandson!
"I'm a fan for the history behind the steelers - hard working blue collar worker who played ball an through the years the franchise has always put together one of the best and most humble teams! They always give 100% and never quit. I've been a fan since I was 9 and when it come to Ben, he's grown so much from his rookie days to now. I follow him and respect him for all that he does for the public, the foundation, and charities he supports. He's a true, honest, good hearted, humble man and I have his back." -- Robert Wade
