K9 officer Jordy, Nebraska City Police Department986 views“I think I speak for all K-9 handlers when I say thank you for your support for Police K-9′s.†– Officer Chris Angus, Nebraska City Police Department, photographed with his partner, Jordy.
Jordy was purchased in Sharpsville, PA from Shallow Creek Kennels. He started with the Nebraska City Department in 2010 and been a very important tool for us. Besides his normal patrol duties, he is also a “star†in the classroom. They give demonstrations and talks to elementary school children, and Jordy loves the attention!

June, 2014 - "Thank you Ben"1289 viewsDarin Hogan, a K9 officer in Roanoke County, VA asked us to share his email to Ben:
K9 Cash is a 2-year old Belgian Malinois. He is trained in drug detection and patrol work. Patrol entails suspect apprehension, tracking, and agression control. We work for the Roanoke County Police Department in Virginia.
Cash and I have been on the road for almost a year now and we love it. Cash has quite the knack for finding drugs.
Cash and I are both huge Steelers fans. I make it to at least one game a year (Cash stays home and watches on TV). Things aren’t looking good for me making a game this year but hopefully I can.
Just wanted to say, that although I’ve always been a Steelers fan – I’m even more proud to be one and a fan of Ben’s because of his foundation and his love and support for Police K9′s across the country!

The martins ferry PD got a $9500 grant from @_BigBen7 foundation to support their K-9 unit and adorable Ecko!!
From Kayla Van Dyne, at the Times Leader:
EckoMARTINS FERRY – The city’s police department recently received three grants that will go toward the betterment of the department and the service it provides to the city.
A check was presented to Martins Ferry Police Chief John McFarland at a press conference that was held Wednesday.
The largest grant was $9,500 from the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation through the Giving Back Fund. The money from this grant will go toward general expenses and veterinarian care of Martins Ferry K-9, Ecko.
“I want to extend a huge thank you to the Jefferson County Humane Society and the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation for this grant. This money will go toward insurance for Ecko, which is an important thing in case something would happen to him,†said K-9 unit handler Chad Kuhn. “This was a blessing, and I did not expect it. We were doing OK without it, but now we are going to do even better.â€
Ecko is a 5-year-old Belgian Malinois and is a dual purpose K-9, which means he is trained in narcotics, suspect apprehension and tracking.

"Shadow" - Findlay Ohio Police Department1441 viewsNovember 19, 2012:
The Findlay Police Department's latest tool for sniffing out drugs, Shadow, doubles as another way for officers to connect with city residents.
Paid for entirely by a grant from the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation, Shadow recently joined the department as its drug-detecting canine. Shadow and his handler, Officer Chad McMonigal, inspect vehicles for illegal drugs, and meet citizens in an effort to prevent crime.
Shadow, a 15-month-old male service dog from the country of Holland, replaces Spike, who retired from the department on Sept. 1. McMonigal and Shadow trained together in Fremont for six weeks in September and October.
He's a friendly animal who enjoys attention, McMonigal said.
"Every dog there had different drives, characteristic traits," McMonigal said.
McMonigal described Shadow as the "perfect tool" for both drug work and bridging the divide with those who feel reluctant to meet police.
"They see he's so welcoming and it changes their attitude right away," he said.

December 1, 2016 - #MyCauseMyCleats1214 viewsWanted to share a photo of my cleats for this weekend’s #MyCauseMyCleats initiative to celebrate and bring awareness to The Ben Roethlisberger Foundation.
These cleats, just like my foundation, honor Make A Wish and police & fire agencies nationwide.
I also wanted to honor fallen K-9 Rocco of the Pittsburgh Police Department with his badge, name, and call sign/unit number on the side of the shoe.
Thank you to Dave at dezcustomz.com & Moe at Kreative Custom Kicks (Sneakercustoms.com) for designing them for me! — Ben

Fall, 2013 - Irons Mill Farmstead supports the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation1230 viewsBeginning September 21st, The Milliron Family not only welcomied in the season, but also supported the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation at the same time!
“This year we decided to make our corn maze design STEELERS! In doing so, we like to choose a relevant organization to work with to offer a fundraising opportunity. We chose the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation as a way to show our appreciation to those men and women in our police and fire depts. who risk their lives to serve and protect us. Our family is thankful for the incredible sacrifices they make each and every day. As a family farm, we know the important role animals play in all of our lives. It is so neat to see how the unique talents of animals can be utilized for such amazing things! We love the fact that we can support the men and women who rely on highly trained animals for support and protection.†– Stacy Milliron
The Farmstead offered discount coupons to fans on admission with portions of the proceeds benefiting Ben's foundation!
