Ben on the practice fields of the Findlay Trojans in 19998510 views “He was that good. When Ben was a senior, we thought we were now ready to throw the ball a million times. The school record for career touchdown passes was 27, which my son had. Ben threw 54 in one season. The yards (record) for a season was 1,772. Ben threw for 4,100. The most touchdown passes in a game was three. He threw eight in one game." -- Cliff Hite, former Findlay High School football coach.

9031 viewsFrom an article by Mike Lopresti, USA Today on January 30, 2006:
Before there was a Super Bowl for Ben Roethlisberger, there were the Findlay High School Trojans. We have here the 1998 Findlay lineup, which has one major difference from the depth chart of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The starting quarterback was ... well ... not Ben Roethlisberger. It was Ryan Hite. Son of head coach Cliff Hite.
At wide receiver was the junior backup quarterback. Right. Ben Roethlisberger.
